Just 700 copies currently separate Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 and Haim’s Days Are Gone at the top of today’s Official Albums Chart Update.

Haim are going head-to-head with Justin Timberlake in the race to this week’s Official Albums Chart Number 1.

LA sisters – Este, Danielle and Alana Haim - shot to fame back in January after winning the BBC’s Sound Of 2013 poll. Their debut album, Days Are Gone, which features their Official Top 40 hits, Don’t Save Me, Falling and The Wire, is currently trailing Justin’s The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 by an incredibly close margin of just over 700 copies.

Part 1 of The 20/20 Experience album spent three weeks at Number 1 back in March of this year, and it is one of the Top 20 biggest selling albums of 2013 so far. Should Justin maintain his lead though to Sunday’s final whistle, The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 will be his fourth consecutive Number 1 UK album.

Kings Of Leon fall two places to Number 3 with Mechanical Bull, Alter Bridge are new in at Number 4 with Fortress, while Monkey’s former chart topper, AM (5), completes this week’s Top 5.
