Joe McElderry chats to OfficialCharts.com about new album Here's What
Joe McElderry released his fourth studio album, Here’s What I Believe, this week, so we thought we’d get him into Official Charts HQ for a chat!
The 21 year old South Shields singer reveals that this is the first album he’s co-written tracks for, and what it was like to collaborate with such musical luminaries as former Shakespeare’s Sister singer Marcella Detroit and acclaimed US country singer / songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman.
“To be able to work with someone as credible and experienced as Marcella the first time I was writing songs was quite intimidating,” says Joe. “But it was also amazing and really exciting!”
Joe also reveals that he’ll be playing two album launch shows to support the release of Here's What I Believe, and will be taking part in The Great North Run on September 16 to help raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
