Jesy Nelson announces new single Bad Thing
The track serves as the follow-up to 2021 Nicki Minaj collaboration Boyz
Jesy Nelson has announced the release of her brand-new single Bad Thing.
The follow-up to her solo debut following her departure from Little Mix - 2021 Nicki Minaj collaboration Boyz - will be released later this month.
Unveiling the single artwork on Instagram, Jesy said: "Bad Thing - 14th April 🤍".
Last week, Jesy teased new music was on the way with a short video clip seemingly from the set of the Bad Thing music video, captioned 'It's time 🤍'.
Jesy's debut solo single Boyz, which sampled Diddy's 2001 hit Bad Boy for Life and saw him make a cameo in its accompanying video, peaked at Number 4 on the Official Singles Chart in 2021; spending a total of seven weeks on the chart.
At the time, Jesy described the single as 'ballsy,' 'honest' and 'me all over.'

Jesy left Little Mix - the group formed on The X Factor in 2011 which saw Jesy placed alongside Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock - in December 2020.
In a statement released at the time, she said: "To all my Mixers, the past nine years in Little Mix has been the most incredible time of my life. We have achieved things I never thought possible. From winning our first Brit Award to our sold out shows at the O2. Making friends and fans all over the world I can’t thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world."
Jesy Nelson's Bad Thing is released April 14.
