JADE, AKA Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix, has announced her forthcoming, much-anticipated debut solo single, Angel of My Dreams.

Set for release on Friday 19 July, Angel of My Dreams is, in Jade's words, a "pop punch to the face", exploring her love/hate relationship with a pop industry she's been a part of since Little Mix first launched 13 years ago.

"I want people to be like 'oh my god, I didn't expect that' - but then want to listen again" she said in a statement. "I didn't want to do a safe first single, that was really important to me. I'm setting the tone of who I am as an artist on my own. I want people to hear it and be like 'what the f*** is that song?'. My worst nightmare is for someone to hear my song and go 'that's nice.'

“I'm so proud of it and I can say that with chest. The fans have waited long enough so now we just want to give it to them."

After Little Mix announced their hiatus in 2022, Jade began working on her solo output in studio sessions with the likes of MNEK, Lauren Aquilina and RAYE. Angel of My Dreams was co-written in LA alongside Steph Jones (Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso), Pablo Bowman (Calvin Harris' Miracle) and producer Mike Sabbath (RAYE).

FACT: All of the singles released (so far) by ex-members of Little Mix added together have had a combined total of 11 weeks in the Top 40 - That's 2 fewer than the first original single by Little Mix ('Wings') had on it's own!
