Is Bryan Adams worried about Drake potentially breaking his Official Chart record?
Bryan Adams' 1991 classic (Everything I Do) I Do It For You is currently the UK's longest consecutive reigning Number 1 single ever, a span lasting a monumental 16 weeks. But as you should know by now, another Canadian star is hot on his heels.
Drake's One Dance featuring Wizkid and Kyla has so far sat at the top spot on the Official Singles Chart for 14 weeks, with a 15th week in his sights. But what does Bryan think of his fellow Ontarian?

Speaking with Steve Wright on BBC Radio 2 yesterday (June 20), Bryan has no hard feelings. When asked for his reaction, the Summer of '69 rocker said: "Good on him." Referencing a story from earlier in the interview Adams: "I'm still too busy finding my way around town [London] to worry about it."

We need to stop such follies from happening. Sign this petition if you agree: https://www.change.org/p/official-charts-don-t-let-streaming-count-in-the-main-charts

Quite agree, charts have been a farce for years but when songs like Disturbed's Sound of Silence sold enough to be top 10 but only got to late 20's because of "streaming" then it's an utter joke. According to sales charts Drake's song should only have been number 1 for 3 weeks! Nothing against him or the song, but it feels to me like one big fix.

He shouldn't be, as Drake was only at Number 1 for 3 weeks. ;) Streaming doesn't count for me. Those streaming aren't buying the record.

For apples-to-apples comparison, I fully agree (same with the USA and the albums chart- the only fair comparison is Top Album Sales to the pre-December 2014 main albums chart). It doesn't make sense to compare feats on these new charts to those from before, that were based solely on sales.
Re the UK albums chart- streaming hasn't had a huge impact (as far as I can see), and track equivalent albums (TEA) haven't been part of the mix, as far as I know), so that's not as big a deal.

Back in the day when singles were singles and I still have a copy of Bryan Adams biggest hit.

Or in other words! Don't give a monkeys cause I held down those 16 weeks with actual sales that people went to a shop and handed money over a counter for!!!!

Back in old days streaming platforms were not available the only way to listen songs was to go to the shop and buy that song... Streaming makes chart.... It is not easy to get million of streams... Instead giving him some respect you people start hating him
One dance is the best song... 😁😁😁

You're having a laugh ain't you. If you think One Dance is better than Everything I Do then there's something wrong with you. Bryan Adams's song has meaning to it. Drake's song doesn't. It sounds like a computer singing it. Also, streaming does not make the charts, sales do. One Dance would have been number 1 for 3 weeks if it was purely based on sales. I'm very concerned that this sort of trash is beating Whitney Housten, Queen, Wet Wet Wet, etc

One Dance isn't very good. It's definitely not good enough to stay longer at Number 1 than Bohemian Rhapsody.

To be fair, tomriise probably wouldn't have to use auto tune when making a song. ;)

Everything I Do is a great ballad with a lot of meaning. A sample of Drake's lyrics: 'ot, ot, there's never much love when we go ot'. The best song? LOL.
