Ireland's Official Top 50 biggest albums of 2019 so far
Which of these have you bought physically, downloaded or streamed?
With three quarters of the year down, OfficialCharts.com/Ireland can today reveal the most popular albums with the Irish public in 2019 so far.
Lewis Capaldi claims Ireland’s biggest album released in 2019 with Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent. Ireland’s fastest-selling debut album of the decade by a male artist, the album has so far spent five weeks at Number 1 and features two chart-topping singles in Someone You Loved and Hold Me While You Wait.
While Lewis claims the biggest album released this year, the overall best-seller since January 1 is the Motion Picture Cast Recording to The Greatest Showman. The soundtrack first released in December 2017 has shifted more copies on physical and download formats than any other so far this year and is also the fourth most streamed record.

some of those albums are under certified in Ireland for example greatest Showman should be a minimum of 6 x platinum denoting sales of 90 K granted it's also under certified in Britain where it should be a minimum of 7 x platinum though it's only certified 5 x platinum though it hasn't reached the top 60 best selling albums in UK chart History yet and some of the top sellers are in need of updates Oasis's What's The Story Morning Glory for example should be 16 x platinum MJ's Thriller should be 15 x platinum etc
