Imagine Dragons earn highest new Official Albums Chart entry with LOOM
Imagine Dragons claim the highest new entry on this week’s Official Albums Chart as Taylor Swift secures an eighth non-consecutive week at the summit.
LOOM earns Nevada natives Imagine Dragons a sixth Top 10 album in the UK (5), joining 2013 debut Night Visions (3), 2015 chart-topper Smoke & Mirrors, 2017’s Evolve (3), 2018 LP Origins (9) and 2021’s Mercury – Acts 1 & 2 (7).

But it’s Taylor Swift who reigns supreme once again, with The Tortured Poets Department enjoying an eighth outing at Number 1. This week, Official Charts named The Tortured Poets Department 2024’s Official biggest album of the year so far, having already accumulated over 542,000 chart units since its release in April.
Another of the year’s biggest releases to date, Billie Eilish’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, rebounds one this week (2).
Camila Cabello’s experimental C,XOXO nets her a fourth Top 20 album (20), joining 2018’s Camila (2), 2019’s Romance (14) and 2022 record Familia (9).
Following its release on vinyl, Beyoncé’s former chart-topper COWBOY CARTER rockets 59 spots back into the Top 40 this week (40).
