Honey G signs to Simon Cowell's Syco label, announces debut single called The Honey G Show

Honey G has announced details of her debut single, called The Honey G Show.

That's right - the aspiring rapper is wasting no time getting her music career off the ground after this year's X Factor, even giving us all a sneak preview of the track during last weekend's final in her mega mashup. Watch below:

Since then, she's confirmed on Twitter that she's signed a record deal with Simon Cowell's record label Syco and will be releasing The Honey G Show on December 23.

"Yes it is true, I am signed to Simon Cowell's label Syco," she said, I'm shooting the video this week, I'm so excited. I can't explain how happy I am... bring on the album."

While the song won't be eligible for this year's Official Christmas Number 1 (it's being released the following week), the track is being put out on what is traditionally a quiet week for new releases, which could help its chances on the Official Singles Chart.

Meanwhile, this year's X Factor champion Matt Terry has released his winner's single this week, called When Christmas Comes Around. The song, written by Ed Sheeran, will be competing for this year's festive Number 1.
