Harry Styles challenging for UK Number 1 single with Lights Up

While I'm defiantly glad 'dance monkey' stays at number one, I was defiantly shocked about the singles going on acr (sorry, higher love, Ladbroke Grove, 3 Nights)! They've all been in the chart for so long now tho. I defiantly like 'god is a dancer' and 'turn me on' going to a new peak, they have a similar sound but are both great songs that have stayed with me since released. I like 'circles' going to a new peak as well. I honestly don't really mind if Harry styles and maroon 5 don't get to their expected position. I'm also defiantly thrilled about 'be honest' going in the top ten! Im honestly not a fan of '47'. I heard it on YouTube and I thought the background music was a bit off so I hope it doesnt go top ten. Lastly, I'm so thrilled about 'South of the border' going in the top ten. It's so good and it should've already gone in the top 10 if it wasn't for the three track limit. Do u think it will stay in the top 10 until Friday tho???
I was thrilled about halsey's 'graveyard' going to the top 40. Even tho it didn't go as high as I was hoping, I'm still glad it didn't get left out of the top 40.

Yeah, as I was saying to Coolocelot, this is arguably the biggest week in a long time that ACR has affected the charts, since four former Top 5 hits all suffered massive drops in the same week. As such, while we're unlikely to get a new #1, there'll be considerable movement literally everywhere else in the chart.

Fortunately for you, I think 'Lights Up' will be fairly frontloaded, but I think 'Memories' will remain fairly high up since radio & sales are really starting to catch up with it now!

I haven't heard '47' yet, but I'm honestly not expecting it to be too good given the feedback I've heard for it so far.

hie Piran looks like everybody happy for Dance monkey as I see it looks like the breakout song from new artists like lil nas x old town road. Dance monkey has broken the record in home country it sets to break Ed sheeran s Shape of you 15 weeks @1 In Australia. I like dermot kennedy outnumbered aiming for top 6 .As for Harry styles glad for the highest debut. he stood out to the best for me in One Direction members. Also happy for God is A dancer jumping into top 20 .Mabel had a great year 2019. She's one of the biggest British female artist this year

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if 'Dance Monkey' becomes the longest #1 ever in Australia either! It already beat the record among Australian artists last week, then it also broke another record among female lead artists over there! :O

I don't think 'Dance Monkey' will become as big as 'Old Town Road', since it's not taken off in the same way in Asia nor America yet, especially in the US.

What's impressive about 'Outnumbered' is that it's still gaining really well despite the album hype fading, which is making me think it'll become at least a Top 5 hit over here, maybe even reaching the Top 3 if it can survive ACR long enough!

Hopefully 'Lights Up' will still end up with a Top 10 finish by the end of the tracking week! I really like the 90s rock throwback that some of the 1D members have gone for lately.

Well Piran it might not be a worldwide hit in Asia and America but I've noticed something in America .It might become sleeper hit not instantly for example Someone you loved Lewis became an instant hit in UK . it took how long to reach top 10 in US after a strong fight recent finally hit top 3 in America .British pop artist Ellie Goulding 's single " Lights" was released in February 2011, debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 in August of the same year. The track reached its peak position of number 2 after 33 weeks in August 2012, a year and a half after the song's original release date. "Lights" continued its upward momentum from there, taking over two years to reach its peak position in countries like Slovenia, France and Germany.It's gonna hit top 10! trust me.

Did you see this week US Billboard Dance monkey debuted at 96 it's a good start and in weeks to come it's going to hit soon. some kind of songs it takes time in America to hit the charts

Yeah, 'Someone You Loved' was released like a year ago now, yet only hit its peak in the US a couple of weeks back!

The even more interesting case is 'Truth Hurts', which just topped the Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks despite being released in 2017, when almost nobody heard of Lizzo! :O

yes true she just missed out on becoming longest running hip song by a female artist now tying with Iggy Azalea but becomes a longest running unaccompanied by any artist.

Dance Monkey just broke into top 25 Spotify charts slowly coming it has a greater slowly gaining it has been bubbling under 100 US Charts also I see on the downloads slowly peaking.

It looks 'Truth Hurts' will return to #1 next week according to the early numbers, so Iggy's record is by no means safe yet... :/
