Grammys 2023: The winners in full revealed as Harry Styles wins night's big award and Beyonce makes history
It was a big night for Harry Styles, Beyoncé and Sam Smith & Kim Petras.
Harry Styles was the big winner of the 2023 Grammy Awards last night, scooping the coveted Album of the Year gong for his third solo album, Harry's House.
The win made waves, however, as Harry triumphed over the body of work many had assumed to be a shoo-in - Beyoncé's disco opus RENAISSANCE.
Don't feel too bad for Bey, however, as she still ended up making history, officially becoming the most-awarded artist in Grammy history, now the proud owner of 32 Grammys in total.
Beyoncé ended the night with four awards in total; Best Electronic and Dance album for RENAISSANCE, Best R&B song for Cuff It, Best Electronic song for BREAK MY SOUL and best Traditional R&B song for Plastic Off The Sofa.
As well as album of the year, Harry also took home Best Pop Vocal Album for Harry's House, and a third Grammy for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, perhaps the biggest hint that he was about to storm ahead and claim the biggest award of the night.

Lizzo's viral single About Damn Time was named Record of the Year, while Song of the Year went, somewhat unexpectedly, to US Blues icon Bonnie Raitt, whose song Just Like That beat out competition from Taylor Swift (All Too Well 10 Minute Version), Adele (Easy On Me) and Gayle (ABCDEFU).
Another surprise came from the winner of Best New Artist, as little-known jazz singer Samara Joy triumphed over Latin superstar Anitta, Eurovision winners Måneskin, viral sensation Omar Apollo and British indie-rock duo Wet Leg.
History was also made with Sam Smith & Kim Petras' win for best Pop Duo/Group performance for their UK Number 1 single Unholy - with Kim becoming the first openly trans woman to take home a Grammy. In an emotional speech, Kim thanked all the trans trailblazers before her, saving a special shout-out to the late, great producer SOPHIE, as well as Madonna for her support to the queer community throughout her career, which earned a standing ovation from the crowd.
Does Harry's Grammy haul spell good things for this weekend's BRIT Awards? The pop superstar is the most-nominated artist at this year's ceremony, alongside Wet Leg, with four nods each - including for the Best British Album of the Year.

How did Sam Smith get a headline again when he only won in one obscure category that was basically one nobody cares about? Go woke go broke. The child snatcher cometh. 👺

Hmmm shame Lizzo is a big racist. Love Bjork though, such an amazing talent and she's lasted all these years. Don't know much about Kim Petras though pal. Heard she did a cover of Running Up That Hill, must check it out.
