Gracie Abrams earns first UK Number 1 single with That’s So True
The US sensation caps off an extraordinary breakout year with her first chart-topping hit.
Capping off an extraordinary breakout year, US pop sensation Gracie Abrams earns her first UK Number 1 single with That’s So True today.
The spiky acoustic break-up song has been in a neck-and-neck race to the Official Singles Chart summit with Gigi Perez’s Sailor Song all week, with Gracie taking victory by little under 1,200 chart units.
That’s So True jumps two places today, the final confirmation of Gracie’s elevation to the central pop pantheon. In 2024 alone, she earned her first Top 40 single (Close To You), before quickly scoring her first Number 1 album (The Secret Of Us) and her first Top 10 single (I Love You, I’m Sorry).
Speaking of US pop sensations, Chappell Roan earns her second UK Top 5 single, with the kitschy camp of HOT TO GO! soaring to a brand-new peak (5).
KSI and Trippie Redd hit new heights with Thick Of It (6), as does Sabrina Carpenter with the sparkly Bed Chem (7).
Teddy Swims claims his second Top 10 single today with The Door (8) while further down, follow-up hit Bad Dreams enters the Top 20 for the first time (15).
Billie Eilish’s WILDFLOWER moves to its highest position yet, blooming to Number 11, rising seven week-on-week.
Further down, The Weeknd and Anitta crash in at Number 22 with bone-shaking funk collab São Paulo. It’s the first UK Top 40 entry for Anitta, a superstar in her native Brazil.
Finally, after scoring last week’s Number 1 album, Tyler, The Creator earns an eighth Top 40 hit in the UK, with Lola Young team-up Like Him debuting at Number 33.

Not surprised about 'That's So True' taking the #1 given the late sales push.
Good to see 'Hot To Go!' become Chappell Roan's second single to enter the Top 5.
