Glass Animals announce new single I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance)
While the group have a new track on the way, their monster hit Heat Waves is set to gain a new peak on this week's Official Singles Chart.
Glass Animals have announced the release of their new single I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance), coming tomorrow (September 10).
The song acts as the follow-up to the band's international breakthrough hit Heat Wave, which is set for a new peak on the Official Singles Chart this week after a renewed viral presence on TikTok. It previously reached a peak of Number 19 on the Official Singles Chart in May before re-entering the Top 40 last week at Number 18.
I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance) will be accompanied by a music video directed by Drew Kirsch, best-known for co-directing Taylor Swift's visuals for Me! with Brendon Urie and You Need To Calm Down.

I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance) serves as the lead single from Glass Animals' deluxe album Dreamland (+ Bonus Levels).
On the new single, songwriter and producer Dave Bayley said: "It felt like we were all put in a pressure cooker, but there was no way to let out the steam.
"That's what this track is about - that pressure cooker exposing and expanding so many cracks, but struggling to fill them in and decompress."
I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance) will also be Tune of the Weekend on BBC Radio 1 this weekend, and has been added to the station's playlist at the B List rank.
Since forming in 2010, Glass Animals have released three studio albums, 2014's Zaba and 2016's How To Be A Human Being, which peaked at Number 23 on the Official Albums Chart and was nominated for the 2017 Mercury Prize. Last year their third album Dreamland debuted at Number 2 becoming their highest-charting effort to date.
