Gladiator II surges back to Number 1 on the Official Film Chart

Gladiator II soars back up to Number 1 this week following its release on disc.

Now available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD, Gladiator II marks its third non-consecutive week at Number 1 in the UK, soaring 17 places back to the top of the Official Film Chart. It originally debuted at Number 1 for 2 weeks on its original release in January.

Meanwhile, Wicked is back on the rise (2) while Sonic the Hedgehog 3 drops two places following its Number 1 debut last week (3). Fellow former chart-topper Paddington in Peru slips two (4) and Moana 2 holds at Number 5.

Outside of the Top 5, Disney’s photorealistic follow-up to 2019’s The Lion King, Mufasa: The Lion King finishes at Number 6. 

Political thriller Conclave earns a 10th consecutive week in the Top 10 (7) finishing just ahead of Dune: Part Two which bounces back up one place (8).

Entering the Top 10 for the firs time this week is Anime fantasy film Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim – based on characters created by J.R.R. Tolkein and set around 200 years before the events of the live-action Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit series – which rockets 27 places to Number 9.

Finally, comedy-drama film Anora, starring Mikey Madison, returns to the Top 10 following its five Oscar wins (including Best Picture) last week (10). It previously peaked at Number 6 in February.
