Girls Aloud's The Girls Aloud Show tour will be broadcast on ITV and ITVX later this year.

Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh's 30-date UK and Ireland arena tour, performed May-June 2024, saw the group reunite to 'celebrate' late bandmate Sarah Harding's legacy.

The show, which included Number 1 singles Sound of the Underground, I'll Stand By You and The Promise on its hit-packed setlist, was filmed over two nights at The O2, London, with ITV securing the broadcasting rights.

Announcing its TV premiere on social media, Girls Aloud and ITV said:

"Something kinda ooooh is coming to itv and itvxofficial.

"The UK’s biggest arena tour of 2024 ‘The Girls Aloud Show’ will air on ITV1 - then jump over to ITVX for the extended show."

Nicola says: "This show is a massive celebration of our journey over the last 22 years. It was a great chance for us to showcase our catalogue of music that we’re so proud of, and to celebrate and remind people of our incredible Sarah."

Cheryl comments: "It was pure joy and nostalgia at every show. It was amazing to look out at the crowd every night, especially in the moments when we all remembered Sarah together."

Nadine shares: "The Girls Aloud Show is a unique experience because there's so much excitement and camaraderie in the room – we're all in it together. Our fans got so creative with their costumes – they came as different eras of Girls Aloud."

Kimberley adds: "It's exciting to think that anyone who didn't manage to see The Girls Aloud Show when we toured the UK is going to have this chance to share it with us now."

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning ITV, says:

"We are so excited to be bringing The Girls Aloud Show to ITV audiences later this year - the arena tour was hotly anticipated and an enormous success.

"Working with the band on bringing something extra for the fans has been a joy and we look forward to both the highlights and the full tour coming to ITV1 and ITVX very soon."

When will The Girls Aloud Show be on ITV?

While a broadcast date is yet to be confirmed, fans can expect the show 'later this year.'

Earlier this year, the group explained The Girls Aloud Show was a 'celebration' of their late bandmate Sarah, who died in September 2021 aged 39, after receiving an advanced stage breast cancer diagnosis in 2020.

Cheryl said: "Sarah stayed with me for about a week and she was throwing around ideas of how we could celebrate 20 years of Girls Aloud while she was still here.

"At one point, she did say to us: 'Even if I can't make it, I hope you girls do it without me.'"

Kimberley added: "One of our main aims on this tour is to do Sarah justice and give us and our fans that moment to celebrate her. I think they need it, I think we all need it."

Cheryl continued: "I want us to bring back happy memories for people. I love listening to music that transports me to the way I felt at a different time, and I think Girls Aloud are that band for a lot of people.

Kimberley agreed, adding: "It's amazing at this stage in our career to be able to go out there and do this. We're coming into this tour from a place of joy.

"There's always something really special when we get together. It's a bit mad, but that's just us.

"I think I'm only realising now just how much our music means to people. I get so many different kinds of people approaching me to say that our songs hold special memories for them or remind them of a time when they had fewer responsibilities."

The Girls Aloud Show will air on ITV and ITVX later this year.
