Girls Aloud's Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have announced plans to honour their late bandmate Sarah Harding, who tragically passed away last year following a battle with breast cancer.
Race for Life for Sarah, a charity 5k run fundraiser in collaboration with Cancer Research UK, will take place in London's Hyde Park on Saturday July 24 2022, and is the first of the group's fundraising activities taking place throughout the year.

Raising money for breast cancer research in honour of their beloved bandmate, Girls Aloud's Nadine, Nicola and Cheryl will be taking part in the non-competitive race, beginning at 11.30am. Those who can't be at the event in London, like Kimberley, can still take part by doing a Race for Life at Home for Sarah on 24 July or at a time convenient to them.
Taking to Instagram Stories to talk through the fundraiser, Cheryl told fans: "Around this time last year when Sarah was really sick we were all desperately trying to find ways to help her, comfort her, you feel so helpless in times like that and one of the only things she really wanted was a gala dinner.
"While that's underway we felt like we could be doing more and we decided to do a Race for Life for Sarah at Hyde Park on the 24th of July and I know so many of you wanted to support her, you were helping her all the way through her illness and we'd really love it if you could join us there.
"Come, walk with us for 5 miles, people are doing it virtually too. We hope to see you there."
Race for Life for Sarah is part of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life event series, in partnership with Tesco. Since Race for Life began in 1994, over 10 million people have taken part, raising over £920m for the charity’s life-saving work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancer.
