George Ezra earns highest new entry on the Official Irish Albums Chart with Gold Rush Kid
George Ezra scores his third Top 5 album with Gold Rush Kid, as it claims this week’s highest new entry on the Official Irish Albums Chart.
Debuting at Number 3, Gold Rush Kid follows the success of George’s debut Wanted On Voyage (2014) and Staying At Tamara’s (2018).
Meanwhile, Harry Styles keeps his position at Number 1 with his own third album Harry’s House, which now marks a fourth consecutive week at the top.
Following their concerts at Malahide Castle this week, The Killers’ greatest hits album Direct Hits soars up 27 places to Number 6; Dermot Kennedy’s self-titled debut flies 12 to Number 10 following his own live dates; and The Script’s 3arena shows send their greatest hits Tales From The Script up 15 places to Number 11.
Outside the Top 20, late rapper XXXTentacion’s third posthumous collection and first compilation album Look At Me: The Album debuts at Number 26.
Finally, South Korean boyband BTS debut at Number 28 with anthology album Proof, their final album before the seven-piece embark on a break to focus more on solo projects.
