Fred again..'s adore u becomes Number 1 Trending Song in the UK

fred again.. has risen to the top of the Official Trending Chart with his new single, adore u.

Featuring uncredited vocals from Nigeria-born, London-based vocalist Obongjayar (real name Steven Umoh), the track has so far peaked at Number 12 on the Official Singles Chart, becoming fred's highest charting peak as a solo artist.

This week, adore u is predicted to rise into the Top 10, making it the first Top 10 single for fred again.. as a solo artist. 

As a producer, he has written a number of UK chart hits, including the UK Number 1 singles Take Me Back To London and Bad Habits by Ed Sheeran and Own It by Stormzy and Solo by Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato.

Elsewhere on the chart, Kylie Minogue's Girls Aloud-esque, shapeshifting electronic banger Tension is a new entry (which could become her second Top 20 single this year, following the surprise but very welcome success of the hypnotic Padam Padam) as is Nicki Minaj's Last Time I Saw You (taken from her forthcoming Pink Friday 2 record) and Doja Cat's hard-edged Demons.
