Foo Fighters’ Greatest Hits re-enters the Official Irish Albums Chart at a brand new peak following news of the sad death of drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Landing back in at Number 3, the 2009-released album takes a new peak, having previously topped out at Number 6. Foo Fighters have 12 Top 50 albums in total on the Official Irish Chart, including three Number 1s with One By One (2002), Concrete and Gold (2017) and Medicine At Midnight (2021).

Meanwhile, Olivia Rodrigo reclaims Number 1 with 2021 debut album SOUR, while rapper-turned-pop-punk-rocker Machine Gun Kelly earns this week’s highest new entry with sixth studio album Mainstream Sellout, his second Top 10 album in Ireland and highest-charting entry to date. Michael Buble also makes a Top 10 debut with his new album Higher, which flies straight in at Number 8.

Further down, Placebo’s eighth studio album Never Let Me Go enters at Number 27, while American rapper Denzel Curry takes our final new entry of the week with Melt My Eyez See Your Future at Number 48.

Finally, Stormzy rockets back into the Top 50 with 2019’s Heavy Is The Head at Number 49, as he gears up to perform two nights at 3Arena Dublin this weekend.
