Florence And The Machine return to Number 1 on the Official Streaming
Florence And The Machine have returned to the top on the Official Streaming Chart with Spectrum.
The London-based band, who were knocked off Number 1 three weeks ago by East London rapper Wiley’s Heatwave, have become the first act to return to the top spot since the Official Streaming Chart was launched.
The Official Streaming Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company on behalf of the British music industry, and has been running since May. It is the first chart which ranks audio streams from both ad-funded and subscription streaming services in the UK, which reflects the increasing interest in the new generation of music services such as Spotify, Deezer, Napster and We7.
Former Official Singles Chart Number 1 stars Sam And The Womp climb two places to Number 2 with summer anthem Bom Bom, while Wiley is at Number 3. Taylor Swift’s latest track, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, is up seven places from Number 11 to Number 4 this week, while Rita Ora’s How We Do (Party) (Number 5) completes this week’s Top 5.
