Fifty Shades Of Grey tops Official Compilation Albums Chart

The soundtrack, which features Beyonce and Ellie Goulding, storms to Number 1.

The Fifty Shades Of Grey movie soundtrack has entered at Number 1 on the Official Compilation Albums Chart. 

The compilation, which features tracks from Beyonce, Frank Sinatra, Ellie Goulding and Annie Lennox, sold over 41,000 copies last week to top the tally. 

The record includes Goulding's Love Me Like You Do, which is currently enjoying a second week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, while R&B singer The Weeknd's track Earned It has become his highest-charting UK single to date after climbing to Number 10.

The Fifty Shades Of Grey film, which is based on the erotic romance novel by E.L James, opened in cinemas last Friday. The movie starts Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, while the character is Anastasia Steele is played by Dakota Johnson.

Elsewhere on the Compilations Chart, last week's Number 1 Now That's What I Call Power Ballads slips to 2, and Minstry Of Sound's V.I.P album is at 3.

Further down the chart, Ministry Of Sound's Drum & Bass Anthems compilation is a new entry at Number 10, and Forever Friends - Always and Forever lands at Number 30. Click here to check out the Official Top 40 in full.
