Eurovision 2023 Update: Winner Loreen aims for Top 5 as Finland's Käärijä and more climb midweek
As Liverpool sweeps the last of the stray sequins from its streets, the Eurovision effect continues to impact the Official Chart.
Following the Eurovision Song Contest grand final at M&S Bank Arena last weekend, four acts look set to see their songs reach brand-new peaks on the Official Singles Chart this week; with winner Loreen, the UK's Mae Muller, Norway representative Alessandra and Finland's Käärijä all making big gains in today's update.
Let's take a look how things stand today, shall we?
MORE: Where every UK Eurovision Song Contest entry charted
Currently leading the charge is Sweden's Loreen, who became the first female in Eurovision history (and second person overall) to take home the trophy for a second time last weekend.
Her 2023 entry Tattoo currently tracks to make its UK Top 40 debut in the Top 5 - sitting at Number 3 in today's update. With less than 2000 chart units currently separating it from David Kushner's Daylight at Number 2, could it become the Stockholm-born singer-songwriter's highest UK chart placing ever?
Back in June 2012, Loreen's first winning Eurovision entry Euphoria peaked at Number 3 on the Official Singles Chart.
Year: 2023 Artist: Mae Muller Song: I Wrote A Song Eurovision placing: TBD Mae Muller's infectious break-up banger I Wrote A Song will serve as the UK's Eurovision 2023 bid.

Also on the ascent is the UK's Mae Muller, who could see the Karen Poole and Lewis Thompson co-penned I Wrote A Song lift 38 spots to break the Top 10 and claim a new peak of Number 7 this Friday.
Elsewhere, runner-up Käärijä of Finland could celebrate his first-ever Top 40 entry with the brilliantly-bonkers Cha Cha Cha this week (11). The everything-and-the-kitchen-sink anthem's less than 1000 chart units behind Harry Styles' enduring As It Was in today's update, too (10).
