Six acts will taking to the stage live on TV this evening (Feb 26) in the hope of representing the UK at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

One of them is duo Joe and Jake, former Voice UK contestants who have joined forces for their entry You're Not Alone.

"We were rivals on series four of The Voice but we actually hit it off straight away as friends," Jake told Official Charts when we asked him how the opportunity to enter came about.

"We started working, gigging and writing things together and then we found a manager and started looking at options to break us as a duo. We were presented with the idea of Eurovision and seeing as we're both big fans of it, we jumped at the chance!"

"We're both Eurovision fans and people obviously have lots of opinions on it," Joe added, "but honestly, we just want to get out there and do our best. We're really hoping the public get behind us - representing the UK at Eurovision would be an absolute dream for us."

QUIZ: How well do you know your Eurovision?

Each claim to be big Eurovision fans, with both admiring Sweden's recent winning entries, Euphoria by Loreen (2012) and Mans Zelmerlow's Heroes (2015). "Both were completely mesmerising," Joe says, adding: "Heroes is massive standout from recent years, and the vibe and staging of it all was excellent. He really pulled it off. We'd love to do something as big as that."

You're Not Alone, which the pair will perform live on BBC Four's Eurovision: You Decide, has recieved positive feedback from fans of the contest, making it a firm favourite to win this year's UK selection process.

"People seem to be really positive, which is great when you consider it's for Eurovision," Jake said. "It's encouraging people seem to be enjoying the track.

"We're so focused on this performance and that everything is nailed, so there's not much room for doubt at the moment. As long as we do our best, hopefully it'll all work out."

Joe and Jake will perform You’re Not Alone for your votes live on Eurovision: You Decide tonight (Feb 26) at 7.30pm on BBC Four.
