Eminem announces release date for new album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)
Eminem has announced the release date for his new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).
In a semi-surprise announcement, Slim Shady himself confirmed via a video trailer that his 12th studio album will arrive semi-soon, dropping next Friday (July 12).
It's his first full-length studio album since 2020's Music To Be Murdered By. In 2022, Eminem released a second greatest hits compilation, Curtain Call 2.

The Death of Slim Shady, which sees Eminem return to inhabit his popular alter-ego from his early-00s heyday, has been trailed by its super-successful lead single, Houdini, which recently debuted at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart.
Houdini was the first UK Number 1 single by Eminem in four years, and was his landmark 11th single to top the Official Singles Chart overall.
In its first week on sale, Houdini was rapturously received by fans; netting the biggest opening week of 2024 so far for a single in the UK, with 104,800 chart units, including 13.3 million streams.
Earning the biggest opening week for a song since Dave and Central Cee’s Sprinter, Houdini also drew Eminem level with Calvin Harris on the list of artists with the most Number 1s on the Official Singles Chart; each with 11 to their name.
A brand new track from The Death of Slim Shady, Tobey, is also available to stream now.
