Eminem earns a third consecutive week at the UK Official Albums Chart summit with The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)

The Detroit rap legend’s 12th studio album, and 11th Number 1, reigns supreme once again, holding off Taylor Swift’s enduring The Tortured Poets Department, up two (2).

As she releases a remix of Guess with Billie Eilish, Charli xcx’s 2024 Mercury Prize-shortlisted BRAT secures an eighth consecutive week inside the Top 10, lifting three (3). Can the record remain there for the whole of ‘BRAT summer’?

Missouri-born breakthrough star Chappell Roan claims a career-best with The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, her 2023 debut lifting three in its 16th week on chart (4). 

Billie Eilish’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT is on the rebound this week, up three in a return to the Top 5 (5). 

It’s a 14th Top 10 album for blur, courtesy of their latest live collection Live at Wembley Stadium (6). Recorded across two nights in July 2023, the group’s fourth live LP to chart is the week’s highest new entry and also the bestseller of the week on vinyl, topping the Official Vinyl Albums Chart

Congratulations to Eastbourne export Sam Tompkins who nets a Top 10 debut record today with hi, my name is insecure.; a new entry at Number 8. The LP also tops the Official Record Store Chart; the best-selling album of the week in independent UK record shops.

Swedish heavy metal outfit Ghost log a fourth Top 10 album with Rite Here Rite Now; the soundtrack to its namesake concert film (10). The record joins 2018’s Prequelle (10), 2022’s IMPERA (2) and 2023 release Phantomime (8) in the group’s Top 10 tally. 

Following its reissue as a multi-format super deluxe edition, The Police’s fifth and final studio album Synchronicity returns to the Top 40 for the first time in 40 years (30). 

As it’s released on vinyl, Benson Boone’s debut Fireworks & Rollerblades rebounds 13 this week (31).

And finally, Céline Dion’s My Love – The Essential Collection vaults 32, landing at Number 36. The Canadian superstar’s performance of Édith Piaf’s Hymne A L'Amour marked her first in four years, since being diagnosed with stiff person syndrome (SPS) in 2022.
