Not content with two shiny new Official Chart Number 1 Awards for his trophy cabinet, for latest album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) and its introductory single Houdini, Eminem is now the proud owner of a BRIT Billion Award.

Marshall Mathers is the latest artist to be honoured with the award by the BPI, the representative voice for the UK’s world-leading record labels and music companies.

Official Charts Company data shows Eminem to have racked up an incredible 7 billion UK streams across a discography spanning 25 years.

Eminem currently holds the Official Chart record for the artist with the most consecutive Number 1 albums in the UK, earned between 2000's The Marshall Mathers LP and 2020's Music To Be Murdered By.

Last week, the rap legend's 12th studio record The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) became his 11th chart-topper here in the UK, pulling him level with David Bowie and U2, also with 11 apiece.

Had to check out who previously received this award and after seeing the list, aside from a few legends, I doubt there’s much honour in this “award”.
