The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, who performed on Elvis Presley's If I Can Dream album, will tour the record across the UK in 2016.

The live concert experience, featuring recordings from Elvis backed by the orchestra, will run for six arena shows across the country in November this year.

Elvis' former wife and If I Can Dream's executive producer Priscilla Presley, who will be making a special appearance at each of the shows, said: "What an honour for me to present for the live debut of what has become a very prestigious and beloved album along with other favourites backed by a full symphony orchestra."

How can they have a 'live ' show without the man himself? What they gonna project visuals and have the orchestra play over his pre-recorded tracks? it's just not the same and i am not one in favour of having long dead megastars vocals added to new arrangements, Let the great man and his music rest in peace. A Elvis show is NEVER an Elvis show without Elvis.

money talks sadly and in the uk this lp done amazing. 1+ million copies in any decade would be amazing especially given how poor lps sell now.

Sorry I don't agree! If these legends and their music are not to be forgotten when the generations that made them stars start dying out then the guardians have to think of ways to bring the music to new generations. I believe when Elvis was alive he expressed a desire to perform his music with a orchestra arrangement and not doubt had he lived into his elder years that would of happen. Allowing one of his less famous tunes be remixed by a dance DJ a few years ago was also a great move and proved to be massively successful going to #1 in many countries. I'm not sure how this tour will be performed but would say there is some incredible tech now that can produce a image that brings dead performers back to live in their prime and can be very emotional too if done right.
