But he's facing some serious competition...

There’s an almighty battle for this week’s Number 1 spot on the Official Albums Chart, with three artists fighting it out for the top spot.

Leading the way in today’s Official Chart Update is Elvis Presley’s The Wonder Of You. The second collection of orchestral re-workings of Elvis’ hits with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (following last year’s chart-topping, million selling If I Can Dream) leads the way by 3,500 combined sales at the mid-week stage.

If it holds its position, it’ll be a record-breaking week for Elvis, giving him the most UK Number 1 albums of any solo artist ever, ahead of Madonna (12). Sia’s This Is Acting album could also be back in the Top 10 this week following the release of its deluxe edition, currently up 33 spots to 10.

Elvis clearly does really well with physical sales, I knew he would chart high but I thought GaGa would be No.1 and Michael No.2 because they were both doing really well on the iTunes chart.

I know Guinness Book list Elvis as the biggest selling solo artist, but the should recognize his incredible chart success also.

If Elvis' tallies continue and he reaches #1 with The Wonder of you, it will extend the largest span between #1 album by the same artist to a staggering 60 years minus 3 days, as his first UK #1 album topped the charts on November 3, 1956. Go, Elvis!!
