Elvis Presley hologram show: AI Elvis Evolution spectacle coming to London

ABBA blazed the trail with ABBA Voyage, Whitney Houston's had a go, and now Elvis Presley is set to return to the stage via AI.

The King of Rock 'n' Roll, who died in 1977 aged 42, will 'perform' in London in a new, immersive Elvis Evolution spectacle. A deal made with the owners of Elvis Presley's estate, Authentic Brands Group, means British company Layered Reality have been granted permission to create the star's likeness for a show debuting in London; with the likes of Tokyo, Las Vegas and Berlin set to follow.

Layered Reality's portfolio already includes such successful shows as Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience and The Gunpowder Plot.

This new deal gives Layered Reality access to a catalogue of Elvis's personal photographs and clips, enabling them to create a brand-new version of the star's 1969 Number 2-peaking single Suspicious Minds.

Layerered Reality describes Elvis Evolution as 'a major new show celebrating the world’s biggest star of stage and screen, Elvis Presley, with a jaw-dropping concert finale and a personal invite to the after party.'

They say: "The show peaks with a concert experience that will recreate the seismic impact of seeing Elvis live for a whole new generation of fans, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. A life sized digital Elvis will share his most iconic songs and moves for the very first time on a U.K. stage.

"Elvis fans can look forward to a memory-making experience like no other. Through AI and groundbreaking tech you’ll be able to witness iconic Elvis performances as if you were really there, and celebrate defining moments in Elvis Presley’s extraordinary life and career."
