Ed Sheeran's latest single Castle on the Hill may have so far missed out on the Official Singles Chart Number 1 to his other track Shape of You, but it has received a music video first.

The anthemic release all about Ed's home town and life growing up now has an accompanying visual, which stars an uncanny lookalike portraying a younger version of the global chart superstar. The video was filmed in Ed's hometown of Framlingham and all of the actors featured attend Ed's former high school.

Ed is also in the video, and is seen driving home, not before stopping off for a drink near to, you guessed it, the actual castle on the hill, Framlingham Castle.

Ed Sheeran has spoken in interviews that he hopes Castle on the Hill can now reach Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, dethroning his third Number 1 single Shape of You. Ed performed the track on last Friday's The Graham Norton Show to boost its chances.

So far, the singles have sat at Numbers 1 and 2 for the past fortnight, with Ed making history in both the UK and Australia as the first artist to debut at the top two positions in the same week.

Ed's new album Divide is scheduled for a March 3 release, and you can view the full tracklisting here.
