The hate Ed gets for being good, having meaningful lyrics, producing versatile music and not involving Drugs, sexuality(twerks,etc) is unreal. Everyone is jealous because when he drops his records, all of their fav artists are mudded.

it ain’t even that, it’s just ed sheeran absolutely reeks and i don’t want him to be number 1 AGAIN. his career is an absolute joke. we need adele to return asap and show this ginger pleb how it’s done, she actually puts heart in her songs.
listen, ed has some good songs don’t get it twisted, the a team is a 10/10 and i also really loved i’m a mess, sing, castle on the hill and london, but it’s just his overexposure and some of his songs are just plain awful like his previous 2 lead singles (shape of you and i don’t care, eugh) and that GOD-awful “song” what do i know from 2017, all i’ve heard today was that screwed up sister of mine screaming the lyrics in her room all day, i have a migraine now.
we need tyler the creator and more rap artists in the top 20... please!!

i’d also recommend checking out flower boy if you want to get more into his music, it’s an awesome record. “foreword”, “see you again”, “who dat boy”, “pothole”, “garden shed”, “boredom” and especially “911 / mr. lonely” are my favourites. 🔥

Your "opinion" of his songs dont mean nothing...The fact that shape of you is most streamed on spotify and 3rd most viewed on youtube still remains. He isnt overexposed in fact he is one of the least openly public artists of all time

No, I couldn't disagree with you more. Ed has worked for his career for the past 10+ years and his music is amazing. He works hard to create music that we will love and is also a really nice person. He is really talented and his songs are actually meaningful.

Thank you for a good comment at last. Ed has had a two year break and he is an amazing artist. Americans are constantly just charting really easily with songs, but ed's are meaningful and he's put in such hard work to get there.
