Ed Sheeran's 2018 tour support act announced as Anne-Marie
Ed Sheeran is heading out on a huge stadium tour this summer, and he's roped in a close friend to support the shows.
Warming up the crowd for Ed will be singer-songwriter Anne-Marie. The star joined him on his last European tour and has long been championed by Ed, with pair collaborating on her upcoming debut album.
“We’ve been friends for nearly 10 years now, so we’ve always wanted to work with each other, and obviously he’s always out of the country and I’m always out of the country," Anne-Marie told NME of their friendship.
"So one time we were both in London and we just got in the studio and we did this song. We want work with each other more definitely – it’s just the time.”
Anne-Marie scored her breakthrough hit in 2016 with Alarm. She has since landed a Top 10 single with Ciao Adios and featured on Clean Bandit's Number 1 single Rockabye, as well as collaborating with Rudimental, Snakehips and producer Marshmello on new single Friends. Check out her complete Official Chart history here.
Ed and Anne-Marie have joined forces for live performances in the past, including a duet of The Pogues' Christmas classic Fairytale Of New York and on Ciao Adios.
Ed's 46-date UK and Europe tour kicks off in Cork on May 4. Check out the full list of tour dates here - a select few dates still have a few tickets available.

Glad to see that Anne-Marie is the support act again. She was great last year as the support act and I'm sure she'll be great again when I go to Ed's concert in Newcastle on 10th June!
