Ed Sheeran debuts video for Sing, the lead single from hotly anticipated upcoming album, x.

British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has unveiled the video for his new single, Sing. The track, which was produced by US superstar Pharrell, is set for UK release on June 1.

The video sees the puppet version of Ed embarking on a wild night before gatecrashing a studio set where the real Ed, and producer Pharrell, are shooting the Sing video. The trio then take off together to party! "It was a lot of fun shooting the video" Ed explained, "The puppet is definitely a lot wilder than me."

Filmed in LA, the video was directed by Emil Nava, who has previously worked with Ed on worked on You Need Me…, Give Me Love and Lego House.

Sing will be the lead single from the singer’s upcoming album, x, which is set for UK release on June 23 and is the follow up to +, Ed’s 2011 Official Albums Chart Number 1.

x’s opening track, One, jumped eight places to Number 12 on yesterday’s Official Chart Update and is currently less than 2,000 copies away from breaking into the Top 10. The track originally debuted on the Official Singles Chart at Number 20 last weekend, after just 48 hours on sale.
