Duke Dumont and A*M*E clinch their first Official Number 1 single with Need U (100%), knocking Ant and Dec's Let's Get Ready To Rhumble off the top of the charts!

British DJ/producer Duke Dumont will be cracking open the fizz tonight as new single Need U (100%), with a little help from A*M*E, fires straight to Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart.

Following an early career remixing the likes of Lily Allen and Mystery Jets, and providing a guest mix in the esteemed Fabric Live compilation series, the Switch-mentored Duke Dumont now cranks it up a notch further, becoming a fully fledged chart topper in his own right.

Need U (100%) sees Duke Dumont taking centre stage, teaming up with songwriter MNEK. The ‘90s-infused club track features the vocals of 18 year old London singer/songwriter A*M*E and has even attracted attention from Harry Styles on Twitter, who described it as a ‘bangin’ tune’.

Need U has already enjoyed the Top 20 spotlight in Europe, and today topples Geordie TV presenters Ant and Dec’s Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble (Number 6) to become officially the biggest selling record of the week in the UK.

Duke Dumont told OfficialCharts.com "I'd just like to thank everybody that went out and purchased Need U 100%. I've been making music for about six years now - remixes and making club music - but this is my first song I've had in the Charts. It means even more to me that everyone went out and bought it and made it Number 1!

"Unfortunately A*M*E is away recording in Los Angeles, but I'm sure she'd want to thank everybody, too. She was a fantastic talent to work with and really made the record what it is."
