Dua Lipa is performing at the UEFA Champions League final
The singer promises to bring "girl power" to the football final.
Dua Lipa has been announced as the performer at this year's UEFA Champions League Final Opening Ceremony presented by Pepsi.
The final, which takes place on May 26, is being hosted at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine, with Liverpool playing against Real Madrid.
Dua, whose song One Kiss with Calvin Harris is currently enjoying it's third week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, said that she wanted "to get the craziest of football fans dancing" with the performance.
"I’m really excited to have the opportunity to do something different, something outside the box, something I guess I don’t get to do on my own shows,” she told the Press Association. “It’s quite a larger scale, it’s a bigger stage, so I think it’s going to be lots of fun."
The singer did admit that she's not the biggest football fan, but that her brother and father were both big Arsenal fans. Still, she promised to put on quite a show.
“It’s such a big performance for myself that I always feel there are new things to do and there’s always ways to better yourself and better your performances and do something even more crazy and more extravagant," she said.
