Dua Lipa has released her new single Swan Song.

Taken from the soundtrack to the upcoming James Cameron-produced movie Alita: Battle Angel, Swan Song is Dua's first official single as a lead artist in twelve months, following high profile collaborations with Calvin Harris, Silk City and BLACKPINK.

The video for Swan Song has also been released, which sees Dua dance in a post-apocalyptic scrapyard before coming face-to-face with a giant robot. Dua then sees the movie's heroine Alita in the mirror, copying her martial art moves before posing over a dystopian landscape to close the video.

Dua Lipa is nominated four times at this years's BRIT Awards, after picking up two trophies at the 2018 ceremony. Dua will perform once more at the 2019 BRITs, alongside Calvin Harris in megamix of his recent Top 10 singles that will also feature Sam Smith & Rag'n'Bone Man.

I do like a flashy promo so this must have cost at least £250,000 upwards in my guesswork. Don't think she can dislodge the streaming power of Ariana Grande though in the coming weeks.
