Dreamworks' The Boss Baby leading the race for this week's bestselling DVD

Babies, beasts and Power Rangers - a combination that could only be battling it out on the Official Video Chart.

It's an exciting week in the world of DVD and Blu-ray, with three brand new releases expected to chart within the Top 5 biggest sellers of the week.

Beauty and the Beast, the year's second fastest-selling home entertainment title, has held onto the Number 1 spot of the Official Video Chart for the past fortnight, but it looks its reign at the top is over. Slipping to Number 2 on today's Chart Update, the Disney romance is on the edge of being dethroned by Dreamworks' The Boss Baby (1).

Starring Alec Baldwin and Lisa Kudrow, The Boss Baby has shifted a healthy 62,000 units after three days on the market, some 25,000 copies ahead of BATB. It looks like we've found what can tame a beast...

Also new in this week's Top 5 is the rebooted Power Rangers movie at Number 3, and Life, the sci-fi horror starring Jake Gyllenhaal (5).

New entries and high climbers

Four more new releases are set to impact this week's Top 40, the next highest being Joan Collins' The Time Of Their Lives at Number 8. The DVD release of Amazon Prime series American Gods is just outside the Top 10 in today's sales flash, sitting at Number 11.

Cop comedy CHiPs: Law and Disorder is another newbie at 21, and HBO's limited series Big Little Lies starring Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon has hit the DVD market at Number 24.

Finally, as Game of Thrones Season 7 captivates audiences, the complete collection of the show's first six series is set to re-enter the Top 40, rising 10 to Number 40.
