Drake confirms new album Certified Lover Boy release date
Drake has confirmed that he will release his new album Certified Lover Boy this Friday, September 3.
Drake announced the much-anticipated album's release date in a post on Instagram along with its official artwork, according to Tidal's chief content officer Elliott Wilson.
The announcement comes after a series of push-backs for Drake's sixth studio album. First announced in August 2020 alongside the single Laugh Now Cry Later ft. Lil Durk, Certified Lover Boy was scheduled for a January release.

The emoji-heavy artwork has already been parodied by Lil Nas X, who created his own version for his upcoming album Montero.
Drake's last full-length studio album was 2018's Scorpion, though he has released music in between, including his Scary Hours 2 EP in March and 2020's chart-topping Dark Lane Demo Tapes.
The Canadian rapper and singer has racked up an impressive run of hits on the UK's Official Chart, including 65 Top 40 singles - five of which landed this year.
Read up on more exciting albums still to come this year, including Lady Gaga, Nao, and Sam Fender.
