Dr Dre is reportedly planning to take a break from music according to www.wenn.com.

The music mogul, who shot to fame in the ‘80s with gangsta rappers NWA and later went on to discover artists such as Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent, says he’ll take some much needed time out once he’s finished producing Slim Da Mobster and K. Dot’s new albums.

"I think that's when I'm gonna just wrap it up for a minute because I've been working on music for 27 years now," he told www.wenn.com. "The longest I've ever been out of the studio in 27 years is two weeks.

“I feel like I'm gonna take a little bit of a break,” he added. “I'm never gonna stop music, it's like air to me. But I'm going to take a little bit of a break and enjoy some time with the family 'til I get that itch to get back in.”

Dr Dre’s last solo album, ‘2001’, was released in 1999 and spent a staggering 76 weeks on the Official Albums Chart.
