Disney’s live-action Aladdin flies to Number 1 after surpassing a quarter of a million sales

Plus The Secret Life Of Pets 2 and X-Men: Dark Phoenix join this week's Top 10.

The 2019 live-action retelling of Disney’s Aladdin flies to Number 1 on the Official Film Chart following its release across disc.

Zooming past the quarter-million sales mark in just its second week, the much-loved story knocks last week's Number 1, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum to Number 3.

The Secret Life Of Pets 2 starring Kevin Hart & Harrison Ford is this week’s highest new entry at Number 2 on digital downloads only. Continuing the story some time after events of the last movie, Max the dog faces brand new challenges after his owner gets married and has a child.

Another brand-new entry comes from X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which takes a place at Number 8 on just one day’s worth of digital downloads.

Starring Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner as Jean Grey and the titular Dark Phoenix, when a mission goes wrong, the much-loved Jean Grey is exposed to a dark and ancient power which begins to corrupt her – and the X-Men must choose between saving their friend, or saving the world.
