Dido scores this week's biggest independent album, Maren Morris bags UK's top country album
Country music star Maren Morris claims the top selling country album in the UK this week with her latest record Girl.
The album is the Texas-born singer's second collection to impact the Official UK Charts, following 2016's Hero - her first on major label Columbia Nashville.
Last year Maren featured on Zedd's The Middle, which became a hit across the world, include a Top 10 peak on the Official Singles Chart. Her raised profile saw her team up with producers busbee (5SOS, Kelly Clarkson) and Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia) on Girl. Check out this week's Official Country Albums Chart in full.
Looking to this week's other Official Charts, Foals may have narrowly missed out a Number 1 album, but they do take pole position on the latest Official Vinyl Albums Chart and the Official Record Store Chart - the Top 40 best-selling album in independent record shops.
The week's top selling cassette goes to Sigrid's debut album Sucker Punch, while Dido takes the crown as the week's best-selling independent album with her fifth collection Still On My Mind. The Londoner's first album in six years is her first signed to BMG records - now home to artists including Kylie Minogue, Boy George & Culture Club and Jack Savoretti.
Whitesnake claim the week's top Rock & Metal album with a special edition of their 1984 record Slide It In, reissued as a super deluxe box set to mark its 35th anniversary. The seven-disc release features new remasterings, remixes, music videos, concert footage and new interviews with the band.
