Daft Punk look set to spend a fourth week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart as Get Lucky passes half a million sales.

The unstoppable Daft Punk have stormed through the half a million sales barrier.

The French robots look set to spend a fourth week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart this weekend with Get Lucky after clocking up an additional 49,000 sales already this week, according to today’s Official Chart Update. This puts Gets Lucky now comfortably past the 500,000 sales mark since its release just a little over three weeks ago.

Get Lucky, which also features N.E.R.D main man Pharrell Williams and Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers, is taken from Daft Punk’s upcoming fourth studio album, Random Access Memories, which will be released in the UK next Monday (May 20).

Brighton singer/songwriter Mike Rosenberg’s alter-ego, Passenger, looks set to climb for the seventh week in a row with Let Her Go.The track is up one place to Number 2 today. Meanwhile former Disney star and current X Factor US judge Demi Lovato is on course for her highest charting UK single to date. Heart Attack, which is the first track to be released from her upcoming fourth album, Demi, is on track to enter at Number 3.

This week’s Official Singles Chart Update Top 5 is completed by Wretch 32, who is poised to notch up his fourth Top 5 single with Blackout FT Shakka (4), and New York producer Chris Malinchak , who falls from Number 2 to Number 5 today with So Good To Me.

New entries and re-entries

In addition to Demi Lovato’s Heart Attack (3) and Wretch 32’s Blackout FT Shakka (4), there are three other new entries on today’s Official Singles Chart Update.

Sub Focus, AKA British producer Nick Douwma, looks set to score his highest charting single to date this weekend. Endorphins FT Alex Clare is riding at Number 9 midweek; his last single, Tidal Wave, peaked at Number 12 last November.

Meanwhile, Stooshe are set for their fourth Top 40 hit in a row with Slip (9), while 19-year-old singer/songwriter Tich is on track to score an Official Singles Chart Top 20 debut with Dumb (15).

There are four midweek re-entries - Birdy’s cover of Cherry Ghost’s People Help The People looks set to be back in the Top 40 at 24 this Sunday after Alice Barlow and Andrea  Begley performed it on The Voice over the weekend, while Britain’s Got Talent’s 13-year-old Jack and 14-year-old Cormac’s cover of Little Talks by Of Monsters And Men’s puts the original at 31 on today’s Update.

The re-entries are completed by James Morrison’s I Won’t Let You Go (39) and Jordin SparksNo Air FT Chris Brown (40), which were performed on The Voice by Ash Morgan and Adam Barron, and Nate James and Lovelle Hill, respectively.
