Crazy Town's Shifty Shellshock dies aged 49
Crazy Town's Butterfly was a Top 5 hit in 2001
Crazy Town frontman Shifty Shellshock has died aged 49.
The Californian singer, born Seth Binzer, is recorded to have passed away at his LA home on June 24, the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner confirms.
Binzer's cause of death has not been revealed.
Crazy Town are best known for their Top 5 single Butterfly, which peaked at Number 3 on the Official Singles Chart on its UK release in 2001. Butterfly also became a Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper for the band in the United States.
Its parent album, The Gift of Game, charted at Number 15 on the Official Albums Chart that same year.
Outside of the group, Shifty Shellshock also featured on Top 10 single Starry Eyed Surprise by Paul Oakenfold; the track peaking at Number 6 in 2002.
