Despite tough competition from DJ Fresh and Pharrell Williams, Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne hold onto the UK's Number 1 spot for a third week.

Rather Be, by London-based classical crossover quartet Clean Bandit is the UK’s Official Number 1 single for a third week in a row.

The track, which also features singer/songwriter Jess Glynne, shot to the top of the Official Singles Chart last month. It became the fastest selling single of 2014 so far, shifting over 163,000 copies during its first week on sale. According to the Official Charts Company’s sales data, Rather Be has consistently sold in excess of 100,000 copies over the following two weeks, and its over-all sales tally now stands at an impressive 402,000 copies.

Pharrell Williams climbs one place to Number 2 today with his former chart-topper, Happy, and DJ Fresh and Jay Fay’s Dibby Dibby Sound FT Ms Dynamite is new in at Number 3. While DJ Fresh is no stranger to the upper echelons of the Official Singles Chart, having scored both the UK’s first dubstep and first drum ‘n’ bass Number 1 singles, Dibby Dibby Sound is US DJ Jay Fay’s first ever UK Top 40 single, and it is also Ms Dynamite’s highest charting UK track to date.

Will.I.Am and Miley Cyrus’s Feelin’ Myself is down two to Number 4, while Pitbull and Ke$ha’s Timber is up one place to Number 5.

New Entries and High Climbers

Rihanna’s What Now returns to the Top 40 today. The track, which originally peaked at Number 35 last November, has climbed an impressive 32 places to Number 21 after being featured in ITV’s ‘Where Drama Lives’ TV ad campaign.

This week’s highest climber, however, comes courtesy of Disclosure. The Grammy-nominated duo’s Top 20 smash F For You has shot up 118 places to Number 29 after brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence dropped a new mix of the track featuring Mary J. Blige on Wednesday.

Imagine Dragons score their fifth UK Top 40 single to date with Demons, which has climbed 22 places to Number 30.  This week’s climbers are completed by 17-year-old New Zealand singer/songwriter Lorde’s Team, which has surged 32 places to Number 38.
