Rather Be is the most listened to song in the UK for a staggering eleventh week.
They’ve done it… Again! After only one week away from the top spot, Clean Bandit have toppled John Legend’s All Of Me from the summit of the Official Streaming Chart.
In doing so, the London-based classical-crossover quartet have bettered their own record of being the Official Streaming Chart’s longest running Number 1, taking it from ten weeks on top, up to 11. Rather Be’s triumphant return to the top spot pushes John Legend’s All Of Me down one place to this week’s Number 2.
The Official Streaming Chart is based on audio streams generated by a range of services serving the UK including Spotify, Deezer, Napster, Bloom FM and O2 Tracks among others and is the first and only chart of its kind. The chart covers streams across seven days, from 00:01 Sunday to midnight Saturday every week.
The Official Streaming Chart Top 100 is published, in full, on www.officialcharts.com every Monday at 7pm and the Top 20 countdown is shown on MTV’s new Official Streaming Chart Show, every Monday between 5 and 7pm. The countdown is also broadcast on MTV Hits and VIVA.
Completing this week’s Top 5 are three non-movers; Aloe Blacc’s The Man (3), Pharrell Williams’ Happy (4) and Katy Perry’s Dark Horse FT Juicy J (5).
New Entries and High Climbers
There are eight new entries on the Official Streaming Chart this week, with three coming from Paolo Nutini’s Official Albums Chart Number 1, Caustic Love. Iron Sky is in at Number 64, joining Better Man (66), Let Me Down Easy (85) and One Day (96). Sigma’s Nobody To Love enters the chart at 18, after the track’s success on the sales- based Official Singles Chart, two weeks ago.
Following the release of their debut album, Meet The Vamps, The Vamps’ Wild Heart re-enters the chart at 73, alongside the band’s current single, Last Night (33). David Guetta & Showtek’s Bad FT Vassy rounds out the new entries (94).
This week’s highest climber also comes from Paolo Nutini, with Scream (Funk My Life Up) shooting up 59 places from Number 82 to 23. Kiesza’s Hideaway, which is the current reigning Number 1 on the sales- based Official Singles Chart, climbs 14 places (9), while Iggy Azalea’s Fancy FT Charli XCX is up 46 places (25). John Martin’s Anywhere For You and Tove Lo’s Stay High both jump 24 places to Numbers 63 and 41, respectively.
