Carly Rae Jepsen takes on Wiz Khalifa in Official Singles Chart race
Carly Rae Jepsen is set to score her second UK Number 1 this weekend with I Really Like You. The track is the lead single from Jepsen’s upcoming third studio album Emotion and is the singer-songwriter’s first release in almost two years.
Jepsen previously topped the Official Singles Chart back in 2012 with Call Me Maybe, which became the second biggest selling single of 2012 and has since sold over 1 million copies in the UK.
But the race isn’t over yet, as reigning Number 1, Wiz Khalifa’s See You Again FT Charlie Puth (2) trails by just over 1,000 copies at this midweek stage.
Elsewhere, OMI’s summer anthem Cheerleader slides one place to three, followed by Jess Glynne’s Hold My Hand (4).
Rounding out today’s Official Singles Chart Update Top 40 is Major Lazer’s Lean On FT MO and DJ Snake (5).
