Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's WAP leaps to Number 1 on Official Irish Singles Chart
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion make a splash at Number 1 on this week’s Official Irish Singles Chart with WAP.
Climbing up one place, the US rap female rap duo end the five-week reign at the top for Joel Corry and MNEK, who swap places and drop to Number 2 with Head & Heart.
WAP scored the most streams this week becoming a career first Number 1 for both women; Cardi’s best prior to WAP was Number 5 achieved with her Bruno Mars and Maroon 5 collaborations Finesse and Girls Like You, while Megan hit as high as Number 3 previously with Savage.

After soaring to Number 10 last week, the latest TikTok-boosted track Mood by 24kGoldn ft. Iann Dior reaches loftier heights this week of Number 3, while new in at Number 5 are UK rap dream team Headie One, AJ Tracey and Stormzy with Ain’t It Different, which marks Headie’s second, AJ’s third and Stormzy’s sixth Irish Top 10 hits.
BTS enter at Number 6 with Dynamite, marking the highest-charting song ever in Ireland by a K-pop group, surpassing Blackpink’s Number 11 peak they earned with Lady Gaga collaboration Sour Candy.
Further down, there are gains this week for Heather by US singer-songwriter Conan Gray (13) and Jason Derulo’s Take You Dancing (27), plus Clean Bandit land in this week’s Top 50 with their new Mabel and 24kGoldn-assisted single Tick Tock ft. (39).
