Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion announce forthcoming collaboration WAP
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have announced a new collaboration, WAP, will be released this Friday (August 7).
Sharing the announcement across both artists' social media, the track is Cardi's first release as a lead artist in 2020, and follows Megan's third album Suga, released in March.
Update (Aug. 7): WAP is now out! Watch the music video, featuring guest appearances from Kylie Jenner, Rosalia and Normani, below:
Limited edition copies of the single are available to pre-order now on coloured vinyl including pink and gold editions, picture disc and cassette, including some signed copies. These versions are available only until Thursday through Cardi B's online store.
Following the announcement, Cardi B's website crashed as fans rushed to order their copy of the single, and a queuing system has now been implemented onsite to manage the demand.
The collaboration comes following an already exciting year musically for Megan Thee Stallion, whose single Savage was propelled to the Top 5 following a viral TikTok dance, and later a remix featuring Beyoncé.
Cardi B is no stranger to the UK charts herself, with 11 Top 40 singles including four Top 10 hits, plus a Number 5 album with her 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy. See Cardi B's Official Chart History here.

I like it on first listen, probably like an 8/10. I think it'll be at least Top 5, probably Top 3.
We'll see some chart movement with this as well as the new Weeknd and Juice WRLD song, which I'll gladly take.
Also thought I'd mention that I thought it was Nikki Minaj feat. Megan Thee Stallion somehow, was she in the news or something?

yet more instantly forgetable rap which people will not remember at the end of the year. It seems there is an endless conveyor belt of this drivel that won't stop.
