Can Waze & Odyssey’s R Kelly remix bump Meghan Trainor off the top spot?
Meghan Trainor has a fight on her hands to hold on to the Official Singles Chart Number 1 for a fourth week running, as London house production duo Waze & Odyssey’s enter at Number 2 with Bump & Grind 2014 VS R Kelly.
The track, a remix of R Kelly’s 1995 Top 10 single Bump & Grind, trails All About That Bass by just 3,000 copies midweek. The rework is not only a serious contender for this week’s top spot, but also looks set to out-perform the original, which peaked at Number 8.

If All About That Bass holds onto the Number 1 spot for a fourth week, the track will join Clean Bandit’s Rather Be FT Jess Glynne as the longest running chart-topper of the year.
Elsewhere, Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud continues to ascend the chart, climbing one place today to a potential new peak of Number 3 this weekend.
Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj’s former chart-topper Bang Bang slides one place to 4, followed by Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, down three places to 5.

Other than Waze & Odyssey’s Bump & Grind 2014 VS R Kelly (Number 2), there are seven new entries in today’s Official Chart Update Top 40.
