Promises can be hard to keep, but Calvin Harris & Sam Smith look to have no trouble keeping theirs at Number 1.

Calvin’s tenth and Sam’s seventh UK chart topper, Promises could be set for a second week at Number 1, Official Charts Company data can reveal. In today’s Official Chart Update, the superstar collab was the most downloaded and streamed song over the weekend. Read more on the acts with the most UK Number 1 singles here.

Promises has fresh competition however, with three songs picking up steam within the Top 5. Loud Luxury’s Body rises from 5 to 3, being a legitimate contender for Number 1 this week. Tyga’s Taste ft. Offset (4), and Fall by Eminem (5) are set for their first Top 5 appearances, the latter due to the fact it is the only song from Slim’s latest album Kamikaze to have an official music video.

New entries and high climbers

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Maroon 5 and Cardi B’s Girls Like You is on the cusp of rising four places to Number 6, one slot ahead of what could be this week’s highest new entry; the NSFW track I Love It by Kanye West & Lil Pump, is at Number 7.

Three more songs are set for gains in the Top 20 this week. Marshmello & Bastille’s Happier is proving popular, ascending five to Number 10, All I Am by Jess Glynne currently sits just outside at 11, while club smash In My Mind by Dynoro & Gigi D’Agostino shoots north four spots to Number 12 midweek.

Finally, Mark Ronson & Diplo’s Silk City supergroup are a midweek new entry at Number 15 with Electricity featuring Dua Lipa.

'Promises' seems very likely to hold the top spot on Friday; it's lead is growing on Spotify & it has more than a 2:1 advantage on iTunes.
'Body' & 'Happier' rising to new peaks are fantastic, but I really wish 'Electricity' could've got a Top 10 debut!
I haven't heard 'I Love It' yet, but surprised it's on course toe enter so high.
