BTS's Top 40 biggest songs in the UK

BTS are celebrating their 10th anniversary this week – and what a decade it's been.

Since they debuted in June 2013, the South Korean seven-piece have spearheaded the global K-pop boom by consistently blurring genre lines and obliterating expectations. In 2019, they became the first non-English-speaking and Asian act to sell out concerts at London's iconic Wembley Stadium.

During their stratospheric rise to become the world's biggest boyband, they have collaborated with artists as varied as rap queen Nicki Minaj, DJ-producer Steve Aoki and alt-pop pioneer Charli XCX. In 2019, they teamed up with Halsey for Boy with Luv, an unstoppable funk-pop bop that peaked at Number 13 on the Official Singles Chart, their highest ever position at that point.

A year earlier, they had become the first K-pop band ever to score a Top 40 hit single on the UK's Official Singles Chart with Idol, which peaked at Number 21. It remains one of their most streamed songs to this day. But since then, BTS have climbed even higher on the Official Singles Chart, reaching Number 3 with 2020's Dynamite, 2021's Coldplay collab My Universe, and the same year's Butter.

In total, BTS have racked up nine UK Top 40 singles and 20 Top 75s, as well as two Number 1 albums with 2020's Map of the Soul - 7 and the same year's Map of the Soul 7 - The Journey. All seven members – Jin, Jimin, Suga, Jungkook, RM, V and J-Hope – have also shared solo material.
